KESTREL FEED TIME....

... had the pleasure late today of joining the Nadeen kestrel and its mate having a good feed on the lawn grubs in a neighbouring home.

Started spotting the feed from the light pole, then swooped down for the catch! 
Then it took off right back up too the light pole to devour it's tucker.

What a super experience and with a fair wind blowing I was in the right position for it to take off straight at me.

Yesterday's smoke came from major bushfires down South of Sydney, and although thankfully no homes taken at this point they are still raging. The Rural Fire Service have again helped owners save a lot of homes....a report here on ABC link
