Bittersweet

Family gathering to mark what would have been Kyle's 30th birthday. 

Battenburg Cake in shape of a half-pipe complete with working skateboard made by R (one of Kyle's 3 sisters now all in their 20s and soon all to be graduates; two of the many things we never saw Kyle do). 

Very much a bittersweet occassion but more sweet than bitter as we shared memories and lovely to see all the different branches of his complicated extended family come together.
