Kerrera

Today we took a 5 minute ferry to the Isle of Kerrera. You catch the ferry from just south of Oban.It only carries foot passengers. The island only has a population of around 45 people. As we arrived on the island we saw a lamb being born in the field by the bay. The mother did a grand job of getting it on its feet. The weather was fantastic as we walked the southern route to Gylen Castle. That took us to Kerrera Tea House for a delicious lunch of traditional stovies and of course cake! En route to the  tea room  were little incentives to keep going, see extras!  The castle stood above this stunning bay.  The views to Mull were majestic on such a glorious day.
