Air Force anniversary

As I drive through Kirkby Lonsdale today, there were lots of RAF flags attached to various buildings and flagpoles. The town is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the RAF by flying 100 RAF roundel flags in its main streets. The town has a reputation for marking anniversaries with displays of relevant flags.

The flags will stay up until early May as they will also help mark the anniversary of VE-Day (Victory in Europe) on May 8.
