Rome: St. Peters Basilica (Day 2) ...

An early start on Thursday morning, stopping for breakfast, before walking to the Vatican for our guided tour.

This was a wonderful experience which will live long in the memory, the sheer scale of the area was something I did not expect.  

The tour was concluded in St. Peters Basilica which was so beautiful.

After lunch we explored other areas of the city & were amazed by the scale & beauty of many of the buildings.

A truly memorable day :-)
