Big Adventure Day

My daughter & family have been up in the Borders for a weeks holiday whilst the boys are off school. Well, it's been awful, rained every day. But Saturday dawned with glorious sunshine, and it seemed that winter had at last gone away. So my hubbie & son-in-law set forth on The Tweed in their kayaks, to paddle down to Spittal. This is a first for them on the river and for this length of trip
Three hours later my daughter and I were summoned to the beach at Spitttal to collect them and their kayaks
Weary and hungry but really excited about their experience!
So after a paddle in the sea, it was off to Robert's Takeaway for fish and chips. 
Then it was time to say goodbye until the next trip north, as on Sunday morning they had to leave for home  - school starts again tomorrow. It's been s lovely seeing them again, and catching up with the twins; they grow so fast
And now, it's raining; again!
