Витоша

Under instructions to keep an eye on the temperature gauge and not to accidentally switch to LPG, A coaxed the family's ancient Renault to a ski car park at 1800m. From there we walked up to the top of Витоша (Vitosha) [see extra], with the last 10m providing a fun scramble. Having been a bit of a slog up the ski pistes, the descent was fun! On our way back to the city, we called in on the Dragalevtsi Monastery of the Holy Mother of God of Vitosha (Драгалевски манастир „Света Богородица Витошка“), which provided a moment of calm in its glade on the wooded slopes of Vitosha.
