A Surprise on the Platz der Deutschen Einheit

Platz der Deutschen Einheit would translate roughly as "German Unification Square"  and I've never seen a nice one.  It tends to be where the street drinkers gather and that's just never pleasant.  In Wiesbaden it's also a major bus interchange so it's constantly mobbed and one of my least favourite places here.

On the way home tonight I spotted Kapitän Bigmouth ,my very aggressive Interlocutor from about a month ago there.  He wasn't getting on the bus (thank heavens), but he was - what a surprise - trying to start another fight.

Der Platz der Deutschen Einheit is never short of people who would be only too happy to oblige Kapitän Bigmouth.  And I was delighted to see that he found one.  And I only saw one punch before the bus drove away, but it was enough to have put Bigmouth on his arse.  And I must admit to thinking "Well I hope that fight lasts a while...."

The rest of the day was a blur of work.  Lots of E-Mails, telephone calls and a bizarre telephone conference with IBM.  I was happy to run away at 4.  Almost as happy as when I saw Bigmouth hit the ground.  And if that makes me a bad person so be it.
