Blue Grosbeak

This is a new bird sighting for me! At first I thought it might be an Indigo Bunting but when I was able to get a closer look I realized it wasn't. Blue Grosbeak males are an amazingly blue color and this boy is in full breeding plumage. Just gorgeous! They're in the same family as Cardinals, Grosbeaks and Buntings. Their heavy seed crushing beaks look very much like the Cardinal's. Now I'm on the lookout for a female!
