18 hr Ice Pellet Storm

It was/is a terrible storm...the winds were 80-90 km an hour for a couple of days while all through the night and all day ice pellets hit the windows. It was so noisy! I finally emerged from bed at 2, about an hour after my sweetie, recovering from my wildly busy week and 7 hrs in training at the yoga conference. After a bit of household tidying i went to the pool. There was virtually no one on the roads or at the Y, most stayed home all weekend it was just too icy and gross. When i came home a neighbour was stuck in a snow/ice pellet drift left by the snow plow. It took my sweetie & i 15 minutes to dig her out in horrific conditions - were drenched. She stopped by the house later to thank us and present a lovely big package of 'iron dragon tea' according to her Google translate. The photo bottom right is of the new artsy pillow cases that i bought at the conference...i am on a bike theme right now.
