Fungus face

A few years ago, some chainsaw carvings were added to the New Zealand Garden in Harrogate's Valley Gardens. They were produced using former conifers that had grown to a height that was overshadowing the area.

This sculpture (by Mick Burns) is part of a bench (see here)and the dull weather helped photograph it. I was interested in the weathering, which makes it look quite different to its former self, and the fact that fungus is now encroaching on the face.
