A view from St Swithin

Charles Bridge

We crossed the River Vitava this morning over the famous Charles bridge and spent the day in Malá Strana ( Lesser Town) & the Prague Castle complex. Many wealthy families used to live here and most of the old palaces and large town houses remain intact.
We’d heard that the castle complex would be busy - it was - but no worse than Edinburgh Castle in the holidays. We saw St Vitus Cathedral, St George’s Basillica,, and the Golden Lane but enjoyed most walking in the sunshine in the Royal Gardens.
We went to a Mozart concert and dinner in the evening - a 3 course meal with musical interludes between courses. Fantastic.
