A lovely afternoon at the coast - people walking the front in t-shirts, and lots of student groups arriving with portable bbqs and trays of beer. The Fish Shack was doing a great trade too!

A sadder occasion to start the day - Sue from Tynemouth's mum's funeral. It was a great turn-out though - standing room only at the back, which must be rare at the grand old age of 88. A real celebration of her life - such a friendly and generous lady, who had a kind word for everyone and always wanted people to enjoy themselves. We gave her a suitable send-off, toasting her in fizz and tucking into an excellent buffet at the Gibraltar Rock. Here's to Cynth!
