Definitely Spring!

More bus adventures today. We went to the RSPB Pulborough Brooks in the hope of seeing (or hearing) something a bit different. It’s a lovely reserve and we saw plenty of birds - and rather a lot of butterflies whizzing about in the warm sunshine, including Orange Tip and Brimstone. We heard Green Woodpeckers yaffling too and caught a glimpse of one. Sadly we didn’t hear Nightingales, although they have been reported. Probably the best moment for me was hearing my first Cuckoo of the year. Not a very successful day for photography - this rather scruffy Grey Heron was the best I could manage.
