A bit like buses

You wait ages for buds to swell and burst and suddenly they all come at once.  A most welcome sight.  I hear Spring will come quickly and will be short.  Blink and we might miss it.
The tree peony doesn't mess about when it gets going with these buds coming out of unpromising stems.  Now we wait to see whether it will produce blossom this year.
