Gamla Stan (back blip)...

...Stockholm's old town dates back to the 13th century, and consists of medieval alleyways, cobbled streets, and archaic architecture, Gamla Stan is one of the largest and best preserved medieval city centers in Europe, and one of the foremost attractions in Stockholm. This is where Stockholm was founded in 1252.

I am a lover of Stockholm (maybe the weather apart), but I can even cope with that, my camera wasn't enjoying it so much, it felt like a block of ice as the just over freezing weather was exacerbated by wind blowing off the Baltic sea, i could feel how cold the camera was even with gloves on, so photo opportunities were minimised.

Those photo opportunities were also minimised by a mammoth vodka, mojito, champagne and steak session (not that I am complaining), but if you ever need a description of the word refreshing try drinking neat vodka (on ice of course) outside a bar in minus degree temperatures, the Swedes were looking at us as if we were nuts.
