I helped some friends today who have developed a great project called Waqaf Water 4 Gaza. They convinced the local Pepsi Cola factory, which has been operating in Gaza since 1961, to use one of its production lines to produce much-needed water for the people of Gaza.

We went to the factory to pick up four tonnes of bottled water to deliver. The men in the factory were a bit concerned about us foreign women climbing on the back of an open truck and heaving all that water around. We brought half of it to the Samouni family, who lost 27 members of their family during Operation Cast Lead.

Down the road from where we delivered the water, this little boy was playing by himself.
