Leucojum

My friend pointed out some leucojum in her garden to me yesterday. Imagine my surprise when I spotted some growing in Gilmerton woods this morning! I believe their common name is Spring snowflake. The woods were beautiful this morning and filled with bird song.
Today has been absolutely gorgeous - a real taste of summer with temperatures in the low 20s. Molly has found it a bit warm as she isn't due to be clipped until next week. Hopefully. it won't be cold again for her.
It's amazing the difference a few warm days have made. The farmers are catching up with ploughing and planting and everything is springing into life. My rowan tree has leaf and the cherry is also beginning to show some green.
