Unexpected benefit

There are some benefits of not having cleared out the greenhouse last autumn, it seems to have provided shelter over the winter for ladybirds, this is the 2nd one this week, the 1st one, much smaller I noticed on Bubbles when we came inside on Tuesday evening after working in the greenhouse. I returned it to the greenhouse, where it will hopefully thrive.
A batch of calves appeared in the field next door today, causing a bit of excitement for Bubbles this evening, as far as she is concerned they should not be there.
Also, I saw the 1st swallow of this year at lunchtime today.
