Headswood

In one of the walks leaflets produced by Falkirk Council, there is a short walk called Headswood Woodland, near Denny. This is a short - only about 1km - walk, but not one I had visited before.

After several failed attempts at another walk - route closed by forestry work in one direction, parking unavailable due to dog walkers' vans at another start-point and an extremely muddy, almost swamped, path from another - I gave up on that one and decided on an easier option. What better time to visit Headswood Woodland, then?

It was a pleasant, short walk through trees beginning to come to bud and affording one or two pleasant views of the River Carron.
