Record Store Day

Up at stupid to go into town for Record Store Day. Ignoring the controversy and the arguments about whether this is a feast for the punters or, perhaps more likely, the record companies, nevertheless it was clear there were a number of genuinely excited fans who had been queuing for hours to get their hands on their chosen limited edition release.

There was free tea and sausage sandwiches outside the Jacaranda, as well as a band. 81 Renshaw was open super early also doing food and drink, but paid for. They were rewarded with the longest queues. Although the longest queuer we found was outside the typically curmudgeonly Probe, which didn't even open on time and were certainly not doing anything to encourage the crowds.

Just a really feel good day, which has now been committed to writing in the usual place.
