Local Interest

After lots of fresh air and exercise while we were in Brighton, a rest day was in order yesterday. I didn’t want to lose the momentum though, so as the weather was still very pleasant, I thought I’d have a wander round the block - a two mile walk mainly on country lanes. The Swallows and Skylarks haven’t got fully into their stride yet - I only saw one of each - but I was delighted to get some excellent views of a pair of Curlews on a stopover, probably on their way a few miles further on to rougher pasture or moorland.
