Dockers vs Bulldogs

Took Steve to his first Aussie Rules game, first for me too actually. We were supporting Fremantle Dockers (Freo) against the Western Bulldogs from Melbourne.

I’ve watched a couple of games on tv so had a general idea of the rules. Watching it live made the tactics make more sense. On the tv it looks like they just kick it up field for no reason. In real life you can see the full field and the plays developing so it makes sense.

We had a blast. The game was fairly close in the first quarter but Freo started pulling away and in the third quarter really pulled away. Final score 108 - 54 to the Dockers!
