Today was the day we view sited the Colosseum and the Forum. Blimey, there's a lot of history! These places are undeniably impressive but I prefer the back streets, the unexpected sights and the warm colours of the buildings. I love this city. Please check out the extras for a few smiles.

PS For my memory. We got back to the flat and we're getting ready for bed when around 9:30 pm there was an enormous outcry from the street below. All kinds of people were shouting and whooping. Tim received a text saying that Roma had just scored against Barcelona. A few minutes later, the celebrations began in earnest as Roma had beat Barcelona, at home, and progressed to the Champions League semi-final!
