Flying visit

A loud noise heard overhead at lunchtime turned out to be a coastguard helicopter circling the area. I thought at first it was about to land in our garden but eventually it settled for the school playing field across the road.

Turns out it was here for a scheduled training session with the local RNLI station. Fifth attempt to get this organised apparently, the previous four had been scuppered either by bad weather or lost walkers. Today was no exception. Some walkers lost in the Trossachs had to be rescued so they headed off in a westerly direction rather than down to the beach.

Sixth time lucky perhaps.
