Desperately seeking

World Tour of Scotland - 6 Inverewe

For 40 years I have wanted to see the gardens at Inverewe. They're right up in the north of Scotland but plants thrive due to the warming effect of the Gulf Stream. Osgood Mackenzie's desire to turn bare rock into a riot of colour must have required a lot of perseverance and planning.

It was quite a long drive from Ullapool, especially as we went on further to Red Point (Extra) and walked in the sand dunes.

Scotland is just not like I expected, no way could I have imagined the landscape and rock structure!
