Carol's ramblings

Time with my uncle

Morning trip over to visit our son and daughter-in-law - Caleb loved running around in the garden with uncle Chris and auntie Sophie. Lovely time to catch up with family :)

Another hot day, making the most of being out and relaxing following our energetic day yesterday in the garden (round 2 next week). After yesterday’s busy day I had a very good nights sleep, not hearing any thunder and lightening, but this was helped by the 2 or 3 glasses of Pimms in the evening :o)

This afternoon, hubby and I visited Cliveden National Trust, lots of people making the most of the weather and “picnicing” whilst the children play. It’s been a while since we last went to Cliveden, last time we were limited as we had Lili with us, but they have lifted the restriction for dogs now so able to go into more areas - we know for next time. Being hit, decided to have an ice cream and I did feel a bit “ripped off” paying for a cone with 1 scoop for £2.50, which appeared short of some of its scoop! I know that businesses have to make money but sometimes their mark-ups are too much (£2.00 for a 7up bottle!).

Monday tomorrow :)
