Nearly Pink Moon!

Couldn’t get to sleep this morning.  Luckily the sky was reasonably clear so I managed a few shots of the Waxing Moon.  The craters are always better then than when the Moon is full anyway. The Full Moon will appear on 29th April.  According to the Farmer’s Almanac the Native Americans called the April Full Moon the Pink Moon, because this is the time the herb moss pink, or wild ground phlox comes into bloom. Other names include the Full Sprouting Grass Moon  - that would fit my garden perfectly at the moment. Did a bit of faffing and framed it.  Now I’ll play my Good Sleep CD, make a cup of cocoa.
