The gentler side

Backblip
A bit breezy this morning so didn't take the boats out but went for a walk instead. We started by doing part of one of the Lakeland Trails routes in reverse (good to get a better view of the surroundings) and got high enough for the extra's view of Dow Crag and the Old Man of Coniston.
Then headed round by Little Arrow Moor on a delightful route with a couple of steep stiles over high walls, sheep, lambs and views of the lake.
After lunch Mr Rat ran the same route and I walked into Coniston and down to the pier where the Gondola was returning from it's final trip of the day.
