New toy captures the genuine article

Grey pictures of hedgehogs and visiting cats were recorded through the night by our new movement-triggered camera. Then, at first light, as a complete surprise, this magnificent example of a wandering homo erectus (female) was pictured. Plans are now afoot to develop a trap which will allow the animal to be  ringed or tagged and samples of tissue collected to try and understand where she has come from and where she is going... before 6.00 in the morning!
