Penhale Sands

We spent the day on the beach today, starting at Perranporth. We sat on some rocks in warm sunshine to eat our Cornish pasties, wrote messages in the sand, looked in caves, followed a trail of hoofprints, and walked almost the whole two mile length of beach. We walked back along the dunes, past the site of St Piran's Church buried under the sand (which is 50 metres deep in places), then back down onto the beach to return to Perranporth and a drink at The Watering Hole, sitting on the beach watching the sun go down.
