Looking through the window

It was my neighbour Barbara’s thanksgiving service today and I was trying to emotionally prepare myself for it.

Martin and I had the opportunity to sit with her mother on the ferry into town. There are no words to comfort an elderly mum who’s lost her daughter, she was holding up quite well.

The funeral was very meaningful and honouring to Barbara and her two sons were so brave to speak and share their thoughts and feelings about their mum.

The service was held at St John’s Cathedral. I stared at the beautiful stained glass there for ages but didn’t take a pic, but did get an opportunity later, while walking to the ferry to get this picture of the stained glass at the SCB building in Central.
