Standing on top of the ITV buildings, 84 sculptures look over the UK capital. Dressed in ordinary clothes, they don’t look like statues from a distance—they look like a group of men about to jump to their deaths. It’s an arresting and frightening image. That’s the idea.

The male suicide prevention charity Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) showcase the art installation “Project 84.” The sculptures represent the 84 men who take their own lives every week in the UK. Suicide is the single biggest killer of men under 45 in the UK, with three in four of all suicides being male.
