The Windfarm Cometh

Driving up the A97 just north of Lumsden today - on a 62-mile journey from Banchory to a meeting in Banff - a Police motorcyclist waved everyone (well, the two of us who were there on the road heading north at that point in time!) up onto the verge. A Policeman following in a patrol car explained that trucks carrying parts for a new wind farm were about to pass through. This is the first of the convoy, making its way south along the hilly, winding A97 carrying a wind turbine blade to its ultimate destination somewhere in the hills nearby.
