Sgwarnog: In the Field

Reverted

City reverted to form today and managed to lose a match they looked in control of for at least the first hour. Multiple chances to score were spurned and Southend United managed to take advantage with two goals in five minutes in the final quarter.

It looks like the Bantams have a lot of rebuilding to do over the summer if they have any aspiration of challenging for promotion next season. There's one more home game on Tuesday night, plus the last game away to Scunthorpe next saturday, so perhaps we'll see a few of the fringe squad members given a chance to impress. In a coincidence of scheduling I'll be down at Southend next Saturday, as I use the final weekend of the EFL to take another couple of steps toward the 92.

It was nice to have the kids with me at the match today. Schedules, other commitments and postponements have meant they've only been able to get to a handful of games this season. Still, 10yo's  ticket is still more or less free for next season so we'll stick with the season tickets for another year and see where we are.
