Today I saw my first ducklings in Bushy Park. There were only three of them, and, small as they were, they were whizzing about so quickly it was difficult to catch them on camera. I suspect they have lost a few siblings - I was rather concerned as the heron made a couple of attempts to grab one but was seen off by their very protective mother.
