Birthday fun has left us shattered!

This morning Eve had her swimming lesson and then came to meet me in the forest mid-morning. We’re doing children’s church outdoors for the summer months.... but today was SO VERY COLD! I was on fire duty but nonetheless came home frozen to the bone after many hours foresting. We attempted to put the heating on for a blast of warmth but it looks the old boiler is finally giving up the ghost - why do these things happen just before maternity leave?! Napping in front of the fire was a better plan than huddling round a radiator anyhow. I love how these guys love each other, even if they spend a fair amount of time assaulting one another when my back is turned.
