The fool on the hill

Practically useless

Panasonic have a weird couple of functions on their cameras: digital zoom and tele converter. The former zooms in and interpolates to full resolution. The latter zooms in just by cropping. If you use both together you get a .3mp shot interpolated to 5mp that uses 1/64 of the area of the sensor. With my 300mm lens that equates to using a 4800mm lens on a 35mm camera. This sign is about half a mile from my bedroom window. It’s a rubbish picture - but I feel it had to be done.
