Portrait of a Pest

Looks like something out of Star Wars, and I doubt if it's doing the roses any good. 

I started taking an Illustrated Journal class at our Art League--what a fine way to spend a Sunday morning! I hope to learn more about page design and  organization and it looks like we're off to a good start. The instructor did a show and tell with lots of her sketching tools: wonderful bags and kits and paint sets. It's so easy for me to get taken up with gear and avoid the actual doing. I'm going to try for a page a day and see what happens.
