an insecure egotist

i recently had a discussion with a friend over the concepts of egotism and insecurities. we realized that they are often mistaken as two ends of a scale. when in reality, they are apart of two different spectrums; one extending from insecure to confident, and the other one being among egotist and humble.

it's interesting, because while that means you can be both confident and humble, it also allows insecure egoists to exist.
