Night At The Museum

The Parents Art of Hope series resumed tonight. Where parents with kids suffering from substance use disorder can come and get away for a little respite time of enjoying art, getting some parent mentoring from parents who have been through similar issues and get lost in a creative activity. The painting is by Robert Indiana - better known for his design of the LOVE painting, stamp design and sculpture.  An interesting bio on him and his tumultuous younger years.  He did many of these iconic stenciled and graphic paintings during his "decade" of creating several from 1960 to 1970.  Indiana was his home state, he lived and had his studio in New York in the Bowery.  The story was that Eat were his mother's last words to him as she lay dying.  It shows up in several of his paintings.
