A New Day

Tipi at Murton

Every time we visit Murton Nature Reserve just outside Forfar there is something new to see.  Today it was the Tipi (their spelling!) and Fire Pit, which are used for groups of visiting children or can be hired for parties etc.  The Gruffalo totem pole has been there a while and I've blipped it before.

Hardly any birds to be seen on the lochs except for a few ducks and gulls and two swans, both of whom seemed to be sitting on nests. From a distance, we thought we saw an egg beside one of them but the zoom showed it was just a large rock! (see Extra)

A busy morning with an assessor from a removal company to give us a quote for both storing some boxes and the full house removal, plus a possible auction for some bits of furniture surplus to requirements.  The company does all three, which makes life a lot easier:-)

We needed a break from all that packing, so we took another load of stuff to the charity shop in Forfar and enjoyed lunch at Murton too.  We were home just before the rain started so that was good timing.  Very chilly in the brisk wind, but fairly typical for May Day in Scotland:-)
