Sgwarnog: In the Field

By sgwarnog

As is customary, the last home game of the season is a moment to remember the fifty six who died in the 1985 Bradford City Fire during that season's equivalent final fixture. There was a short ceremony and a minute's silence before the match, and applause throughout the 56th minute.

Tonight's game itself was more significant for the opponents than for City; Walsall still needed a point to stay up. They secured that through a 1-1 draw.
