Magnolia Stellata.

My magnolia stellata has been superb this April and early May, even after the awful long winter, and freezing temperatures. Maybe it needed a rest! The recent, brief, spell of lovely weather  with it's warm sunshine and blue skies was the backdrop to it's unfurling glory. 
Planted in 2006, as a gift from my sister and husband, in memory of our son Matthew who lost his life in September of that year, it is a beautiful reminder of one who was so loved and is forever missed.
