Lake Plata then and now and wow

THEN. Original photo taken and date stamped by photographer Dear Old Dad on Aug 31 1964. Ardea alba chicks in front are oldest sister on the left and mini me aged 6 on the right. Other older sister and brother are near the rope. Baby bro just barely a nut in Mom so obvs not apparent.

NOW. All these years I thought this was in another state like PA or NY or WV. When I looked up the spelling today, it turns out to be about 15 miles from our home. And I drive through that town weekly.
