'Pocahontas and after' exhibition

I went to this exhibition at Syon House today, incorporating a guided tour of the house which told the story of Pocahontas' visit to the estate. The exhibition consisted of pairs of photos, one of Native American people taken in the early days of photography, the other a photo posed by contemporary Londoners, mostly children, who were inspired by the photo they had chosen. These two girls explained that they chose this photo because the children might be sisters like them. It was a thought provoking exhibition, and will tour the country apparently.
