The Protest....

Midwives throughout New Zealand have been out on protests today. Marlborough Midwives had a walk through town and a gathering in the Town Centre. Although I am not a Midwife I joined in with their protest. I trained as a General Nurse years ago and spent years as an elected Board Member on Area Health Boards. I have a great deal of sympathy for the plight of our present Midwives.... over-worked and underpaid... and such a vital part of our communities. Just think how many people they have helped out.
