The Hunter

Today was the first of three consecutive national holidays in Japan, known collectively as Golden Week. Today was Constitutional Memorial Day.

I got up at 0530 to do my sixth 22 kilometers run. After a shower and a little rest, Arthur and went to Oishi to join Kazuko and Valerie at Atsuko's house. Arthur and I bought some delicious cakes on the way.

Atsuko is masseuse, as well as a marvelous cook, and I was treated to a much welcomed foot massage. I also went for a walk along the river and saw this heron; he was really close, obviously quite used to people.

Lots of delicious takoyaki left over from lunch. We've bought it home and will enjoy more tonight.
