Wind sculpture, César Manrique

César Manrique (1919-1992) was an artist and architect on Lanzarote, and the "Foundation" is a gallery & museum made out of his home.

We visited before in 2002 (we were still using film cameras back then), and went back this year as we love the place. The house is built using volcanic bubbles as rooms - spaces in the lava from the 18th century volcanic eruptions.

Manrique made several of these wind sculptures, a bit like children's mobiles (i.e. the sort that hang from the ceiling, rather than the telephone), which all spin in various directions in the wind. Lovely stuff.
