Sisters at Rijksmuseum

Today we visited the Rijksmuseum. A 30 minute walk from our hotel, with a stop at Starbuck’s for some caffeine.

In the museum we took the highlights tour, with Rembrandt, Vermeer and Van Ruisdael. The latter was a landscape painter. I took photographs of some of his paintings, to be able to see how he used the light in his paintings. There’s definitely a lot to learn from the old masters!

We had lunch at the museum and after that we bought souvenirs and returned to the hotel. Everyone was exhausted after walking through Amsterdam and the museum.

After that it was time to get out again for dinner. Great food, great fun.
